This summer marked an astonishing and unprecedented commitment by Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl-guitar company, who supported thousands of aspiring girl guitarists and bassists at summer rock camps held throughout the U.S. and Canada while confirming its efforts to do whatever it take to help girls play guitar and enjoy music.

Aligning their efforts with the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, Daisy Rock sponsored camps including the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, Girls Rock Athens, Girls Rock Camp Austin, Girls Rock Camp Montreal, Girls Rock Camp Vancouver, Girls Rock Denver, Girls Rock! DC, Girls Rock! Philly, Grrls Rock Camp Seattle, Southern Girls Rock Camp, Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls, and more. Daisy Rock also joined forces with leading rock camp, DayJams Rock Music Day Camp—a sister company associated to National Guitar Workshop—to sponsor a nationwide scholarship that provided one lucky camper at each of its 19 locations a complimentary camp tuition as well as a Daisy Rock guitar. Applicants into this scholarship had to write an essay about why they wanted to come to DayJams and why they feel they would benefit from having a brand new Daisy Rock guitar. Some children wrote about their family. Some wrote about their financial situation. Some wrote about disabilities they have. The common theme amongst all entries was that each child was hungry to learn, hungry to grow, and hungry to participate in a program that could take them to the next level.

In all, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars dedicated over 50 instruments to various rock camps and organizations fostering guitar education and musical passion to youth. The guitars and basses were donated to be used by campers for instructional purposes during the summer, be raffled off as additional fundraisers, and some will also be awarded to the most improved players at the conclusion of camp. Reaching a combined total of over 2,000 campers, more girls everywhere will be able to join the girl rock revolution with Daisy Rock Girl Guitars after attending these camps.
